This book entitled English Semantics: A Textbook for Undergraduate Students. This book is designed as a primary textbook and reference for undergraduate students who are taking courses in English Semantics, particularly in English Education and English Literature programs.

The study of meaning has long occupied a central position in linguistic inquiry. Within the broader discipline of Linguistics, the field of Semantics investigates how language encodes, conveys, and interprets meaning. Understanding meaning is fundamental not only to linguistic theory but also to disciplines such as Philosophy of Language, logic, and cognitive science. This book has been developed to provide a systematic and accessible introduction to key concepts and analytical frameworks that underpin the study of semantics.
